As the Director of Nursing, you will lead all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. This hands-on, visible leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys being connected to staff, residents, and families while driving strategy and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to RNs, ENs and care teams
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Oversee care planning, assessments, documentation and resident outcomes
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and staff development
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, GPs and allied health teams
- Prepare for accreditation and ensure ongoing quality and safety practices
- Manage clinical governance, risk management and incident review processes
- Foster a warm, respectful and resident-focused culture
- AHPRA Registered Nurse (essential)
- Previous experience in a DON/Facility Manager/Clinical Manager role in aged care
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance
- A hands-on leader who is approachable, proactive and passionate about resident care
- Someone open to relocating and excited about regional community living
