This short-term, consultancy-style role will provide independent clinical oversight, review governance systems and assist leadership in preparing for an upcoming Aged Care Commission audit.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate the Clinical Governance Framework
- Confirm governance structure and reporting pathways between the CEO, Care Manager and Quality Care Advisory Body
- Review key clinical policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant and audit ready
- Assess clinical risk, incident management and SIRS processes
- Review quality monitoring and continuous improvement systems
- Provide clinical governance advice to the CEO
- Support audit preparation and attend the Aged Care Commission audit if required

- Recommendations for governance improvements where required
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Strong experience in aged care clinical governance, quality or senior clinical leadership
- Excellent understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience preparing organisations for Aged Care Commission audits
- 12–15 hours per week
- Primarily remote
- Occasional meetings with leadership and governance consultant
- Attendance during the audit process if required
