To be considered, you will need to be able to provide evidence of:
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably within an aged care or healthcare environment
- Experience preparing meals for large groups
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, where required
- Valid Police Check
- 100 Points of ID
- Valid Work Rights
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
What will you be doing? Cook / Chef
- Preparing and cooking nutritious and high-quality meals for residents
- Following menus, recipes and dietary requirements
- Preparing meals that cater to special dietary needs, allergies and texture-modified diets
- Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
- Managing food preparation areas and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring food supplies
- Minimising food waste and maintaining appropriate portion sizes
- Working collaboratively with kitchen and facility staff
- Creating a positive dining experience for residents
