Kitchen Hand & Cleaner – Aged Care | Hervey Bay, QLD

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Kitchen Hands and Cleaners to support an aged care facility in Hervey Bay, QLD for a short-term assignment of approximately 13–16 days.

Kitchen Hand

We are looking for a Kitchen Hand with previous aged care experience to assist with the day-to-day operation of the facility kitchen.

Key responsibilities:
• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
• Prepare and plate meals as required
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
• Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
• Assist the kitchen team with general duties as required

Requirements:
• Previous Kitchen Hand experience in an aged care environment is required
• Food Safety knowledge is highly regarded
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team
• Availability for the full assignment period

Cleaner

We are also seeking a reliable Cleaner to assist with maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic aged care environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Cleaning resident rooms and common areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
• Completing general cleaning duties as required

Requirements:
• Previous cleaning experience
• Aged care or healthcare cleaning experience is highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and professional work ethic
• Availability for the required assignment period
