To Be Considered, You Will Need:
For Registered Nurses:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience working in an Australian aged care facility (placements are not considered)
For Personal Care Workers:
- Relevant Australian aged care qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an Australian aged care facility (placements are not considered)
For All Applicants:
- 2 COVID-19 vaccinations + booster
- Current Flu vaccination
- Valid Police Check within the last 12 months
- 100 points of ID
- Valid Australian work rights
- Current CPR & First Aid
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
What You Will Be Doing
Registered Nurses:
- Provide high-quality clinical care to residents
- Monitor and document residents' health and wellbeing
- Assist with medication administration
- Monitor nutrition and assist with meal consumption
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards
- Follow a holistic, person-centred model of care
- Assist with resident admissions and transitions
- Liaise with residents, families, doctors and allied health professionals
- Work in accordance with aged care standards and policies
Personal Care Workers:
- Provide personal care and support to residents
- Assist with showering, dressing, grooming and other daily activities
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers
- Support residents with meals and hydration
- Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing
- Promote residents' dignity, independence and choice
- Maintain infection prevention and control procedures
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care at all times
